This week on Century of Lies: #CND67 Pt. Two: Voices of Civil Society. On this edition of Century of Lies, Part Two of our coverage of the Sixty-Seventh Session of the UN’s Commission on Narcotic Drugs. This week we feature some of the voices of civil society at the CND including Ann Fordham, Executive Director of the International Drug Policy Consortium, Jacob Chagnon with Students for Sensible Drug Policy and the Paradigma Coalition, and representatives of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, Youth Rise, the Eurasian Harm Reduction Association, the Brazilian Harm Reduction Network, and DeJusticia.

This week on Century of Lies: #FreeDULF. On October 25, police in Vancouver, British Columbia, raided the office of the Drug User Liberation Front. Plus, the UN’s Commission on Narcotic Drugs held an intersessional meeting to discuss progress in international drug control. We hear from delegates representing Switzerland, Bolivia, and Colombia, also from Tuari Potiki with the New Zealand Drug Foundation and Nicholas Boyce with the Canadian Drug Policy Coalition and the Vienna NGO Committee.

This week on Century of Lies: Drug Decriminalization in Oregon. We hear from Tera Hurst, Executive Director of the Health Justice Recovery Alliance, and Morgan Godvin with The Health In Justice Action Lab and Beats Overdose, on drug decriminalization in Oregon and the impact of Measure 110, the Drug Addiction Treatment and Recovery Act.

This week on Century of Lies: Minnesota Approves Safe Consumption Sites. The state of Minnesota has adopted legislation allowing the establishment of safe consumption sites, becoming the second state in the US to do so. Meanwhile an effort to approve safe consumption sites in Connecticut has stalled.
