Don Hall is in long term recovery, which means to him that he has not has a needle in his arm for recreational purposes for over 33 years. Since the initiation of his recovery he has become a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, obtained a B.S. in Human Services, and a Masters of Business Administration.. Mr. Hall is active with several area organizations advocating for fair and equitable treatment of disadvantaged populations. He teaches at Lonestar College to up and coming counselors to prepare them for the field of recovery.
James Gierach, a former Chicago prosecutor was for years the executive board vice chairman of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP) an international organization of former law enforcement and criminal justice officials who speak out against the failures of existing drug policies throughout the world. LEAP is now: Law Enforcement Action Partnership. Gierach has for decades been attending annual meetings of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs in Geneva, New York and elsewhere.
